★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to buy some sweets for taking back to Mumbai. The shop is spacious and well attended by staffs even at the busiest hour of my visit.
The personnel at the cash counter were courteous and suggestive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kandoi is not at all option for everyone but a choice or a priority to be on the favorite list of all, be it’s for gRandparents or kids or young ones or our parents.
Best collection of sweets which takes us to heaven to our taste buds.
Every festival or any occasion Kandoi takes its place to spread its sweets of love over India.

Firstly let me say I'm not a Guju so keep this in mind while reading further. Only bought snacks here, I'm not too fond of sweets. Mixture/Chavanu (Rs 70 for 250gm), Fulwadi (Rs 70 for 250gm) and Methi & Jeera Khakra (Rs 75 for 250gm). The snacks were good, but frankly for snacks at least, I don't think it's worth paying the 'Kandoi premium'. See attached pics.
Let me repeat myself : wish more shops in Guj were friendly to non-Gujus, like, have menu/price lists in Hindi or English also.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ahmedabad famous sweet shop that is covered by every blogger and is located at manek chowk is a place which is good but don't perform same as the hype of it.
The mohanthal and danedar mithai is famous of this place and the taste is good i would say but it is definately on the expensive side.
So if you want to try it and "value for money" doesn't matter for you that much you can go and taste a wide variety of sweets there and the staff is good they will even give you single pieces of sweet and you can pay for just that only.
On an average one piece of sweet will cost you around 30 ruppess.
And 700-1200 per kg rate depends on the sweet you choose.
