This is a place where Nashik got its name from. It is a place of historical significance in Ramayana and important spots by the Godavari river. This hosts the spots of Kapila muni meditation spot, spot where Lakshman cut off Surpanaka nose, river sangam of Godavari and Kapila. This place has lots of rocky hills. The Godavari-Kapila Sangam is remarkable. The area where two rivers flowing and the various kunds (Mukti, Agni and Sita Kund) reside was quite adventurous. There are also three kunds signifying Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh.

Nashik is an ancient holy city in Maharashtra, a state in western India .There are three important points to see in Tapovan, (i) the laxman temple which depicts cutting of Surpanakha’s nose, (ii), Rama Banavas Temple, and (iii), Kapila Godavari Sangam, the confluence of the rivers. It is the sangam place of River Kapila and River Godavari near Tapovan in Nashik. It is a beautiful place with stone, river, temples. Best time to visit during rainy season.

Nashik is an ancient holy city in Maharashtra, a state in western India. It’s known for its links to the “Ramayana” epic poem. On the Godavari River is Panchavati, a temple complex. Nearby, Lord Rama was thought to have bathed at Ram Kund water tank, today attended by Hindu devotees. Shri Kalaram Sansthan Mandir is an ancient shrine to Rama, while Rama and Sita are said to have worshipped at Sita Gufaa caves.

तु s is place where two rivers Kapila and Godavari meets. Nice scenic place. Large area developed by authorities to take on heavy crowd of Kumbh Mela.

I think this place can be more relatable for an evening walk rather than being culturally significant. It has good view point and rocks to climb, whilst enjoying the rays of sun. Can be said as a good place for getting pictures clicked and enjoying a good breeze. Worth noting are the stairs and the calmness it can provide you here, as a quick getaway.
