★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One one the important station in the Indian railways of DC line, but by now it is close due to the under ground fire occur by the malpractice of mining done by BCCL.
It was a way to commute people of near by villagers and the business person, of the near by location.
This is the oldest railway stations in Jharkhand, and also used by the freedom fighters.
when this station closed, students of this locality faced the challenge to go to college as other transport mediums are way costly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good station for people of katrasgarh and local area. Still the station need little improvement. Due to coal fire inside the mines, the railway route was shut down for few years but on 24 feb 2019 the station reopened.
There are shops near the station road.
