It is a system of central government schools in [[India]and other countries ][1] that have been instituted under the aegis of the Ministry of Human Resource Development(MHRD)[2] and came into being in 1963 under the name Central Schools.[3] Later, the name was changed to Kendriya Vidyalaya. It is a non-profit organisation. Its schools are all affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).[1] Its objective is to educate children of the Indian Defence Services personnel who are often posted to remote locations. With the army starting its own Army Public Schools, the service was extended but not restricted to all central government employees.
A uniform curriculum is followed by schools all over India. By providing a common syllabus and system of education, the Kendriya Vidyalayas are intended to ensure that the children of government employees do not face education disadvantages when their parents are transferred from one location to another. The schools have been operational for more than 50 years.[4]

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its been almost 8 years since I walked out of the gates of this school, yet the memories are fresh in my mind, and pretty sure, it must be the same in everyone with me during the time. The school has changed considerably - infrastructure has increased, digitization changed the pedagogy, and many other things that we were not privy during the time, and yet the school has wonderful memories that would never fade. Used to be a beautiful school for us - for all the people who walked through its empty corridors since 2007-2013, with dreams in our eyes, and hope through our hearts - and yet, it never changed.
