★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the most important station on Howrah-Katwa-Azimganj line beside Howrah itself, Khagraghat station is situated in Berhampore, Murshidabad beside the famous Bhagirathi river. A well connected station via bus, e -rikshaw, auto to Berhampore, the Sadar of historically famous Murshidabad, this station is devoid of any glamour. The station has four platforms, a ticket counter, a pay and use toilet, a restroom, but as passengers are growing, more need to be done. Another restroom, a free toilet, proper parking space and some good eateries are the need of the hour. The station is developing and renovation is going on, but as this station is the connection between Howrah and North Bengal, more respect and glamour it deserves.
