If you have any doubt enquiry counter is available.. Outside station autos and taxis are available...food stalls and mobile shops are available..cleanliness is the major issue but not that much.. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Khar Road is a railway station on the Western Line and the Harbour Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network, in the Khar suburb. It is close to the Bandra Terminus for upcountry trains.
The name of the station is derived from the name of the koli village Khar-Danda, near the Arabian Sea. Danda is a home to fishermen.

Usually crowded in Morning after 8:30 and in Evening after 5:30.
There are 6 platforms in station.
Platform 1 and 2 for harbour line and Platform 3 and 4 for Western lines.
Only one Railway bridge is available to connect all the platforms.
Platform 5 and 6 is rarely used as fast trains do not stop here.
One bridge is available at extreme South End to connect Bandra East which can be used to reach Bandra Terminus.
New bridge to connect all platforms is in construction.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Khar road is actually besides khar station. The east is very crowded as compared to the west. In the west you will find market for groceries. Also there is 1 parsi bakery that serves delicious veg and non veg snacks.
