We Visited this place early morning 6:30 am on 9th November 2021. Amazing experience we had. We had bicycle ride in the sanctuary along with bird watching. Try to visit early morning or in evening time. You will have great experience.

Recommended if you love nature. May be our luck but couldn’t see many birds. (Dec 2021 at 8 am) There are two circuits, Route 1 => you need to explore only by walking. Route 2 => you can explore either by walking or by car. Rs 50 Per person for entry. Rs 500 or 600(weekends) per car/ Rs 1250 for tempo traveller. Weekend rates are 20% higher. Camera fee Rs 200. No fees for mobile camera. Needs 2-3 hours.

The person on the counter was Super helpful. Excellent sightings - Black necked crane is a major attraction. One can also sight Demoiselle crane, Dalmation Pelican, many types of heron, at least 5 types of ducks. I even saw three bluebulls. Peaceful walk. Great weather. Only one project is open now, the other one (forest one) is closed for renovation.

There are Birds (painted stork, flamingo, pied kingfisher and cranes - but please visit in early morning or evening. We reached around 3pm and had very few birds to see, however this was still a pleasant experience. The part-1 of park is closed which has pelicans apparently, but the drive in part-2 was good too - saw flamingos which was awesome. Pro tip: carry good binoculars or camera with 500mm lens, else the experience will be just ok.

Beautiful glimpses from the Khijadiya Wildlife Sanctuary in Gujarat which has been added as a Ramsar Site. India having the largest network of Ramsar Sites in South Asia manifests the commitment of our citizens to protect flora and fauna and live in harmony with nature. This is a beautiful place to visit specially in winter. One of the best tourist spot in India.
