Khusro Bagh is a large historical garden, in which tombs of Prince Khusro, the eldest son of Emperor Jahangir and Sultan Begum are located. The three sandstone mausoleums within this walled garden, represent an exquisite example of Mughal architecture. The design of its main entrance, the surrounding gardens and the three-tier tomb of Sultan Begum has been attributed to Aqa Reza, Jahangir’s principal court artist. The tomb has a large chhatri that surmounts the plinth and inscriptions that adorn her tomb. Next to the Begum’s tomb is the tomb of Khusrau’s sister, Nithar. However Nithar’s mausoleum is empty and it does not contain her tomb within it. Architecturally, this is the most elaborate of the three. It lies on an elevated platform and is adorned with panels depicting the scalloped arch motif. Within the plinth are rooms, whose ceilings have been elaborately painted with stars in concentric circles. The central room has on its walls floral decorations depicting Persian cypresses, wine vessels, flowers and plants. The tomb of Khusro is the last of the three tombs. Khusro was first imprisoned within the garden after he rebelled against his father Jahangir. He was killed in an attempt to escape on the orders of Khusro’s brother and Jahangir’s third son Khurram, who later became the Emperor Shah Jahan.

Khusro Bagh is a large walled garden and burial complex located in muhalla Khuldabad close to the Prayagraj Junction railway station, in Prayagraj, India. It is roughly 6 km from the Akbar fort built-in 1556–1605. Situated over forty acres and shaped like a quadrangle it includes the tombs of Shah Begum (born Manbhawati Bai), Jahangir's Rajput wife, and the daughter of Raja Bhagwant Das and Khusrau Mirza's mother; Khusrau Mirza, Jahangir's eldest son and briefly heir apparent to the Mughal throne; and Nithar Begum (born Sultan-un-Nissa) , Khusrau Mirza's sister and Jahangir's daughter. It is listed as an Indian Site of National Importance

The Khusro Bagh, located in Praygraj (Allahabad), The garden is a historical site, It houses the tombs of Khusro Mirza (the eldest son of Jahangir), Shah Begum (the first wife of Jahangir) and Princess Sultan Nithar Begum (the daughter of Jahangir). All three of them were buried in this mausoleum complex during the 17th century. Apart from nice monument there is no any guard for security or safety issue. That's reason People were playing cricket/ gathering each and everywhere which is not good for monument preserve. It is right location on Google maps. I clicked some of photographs through my mobile. ©Ranjeetography (all rights reserved)

Monument is beautiful only problem is that less monitoring/security towards littering, throwing garbages, writing comments on monuments and smoking inside this area. Rules and regulations are written in posters around it but no one was there to check. You will definitely enjoy the architecture of this place but local crowd is making it worse to visit
