Brilliant homestay with an incredible view. The food is really good, just like home cooked meals. The owner and staff are really helpful and polite. Would definitely recommend.

I stayed here in 2014 and the owners saved me from a storm, I was about to collapse from freezing to death on a motorbike. They made a fire, warmed me up, cooked me food and gave me a bed. Top marks for lovely people.

There are no famous hotels for stay in Shoja HP so many home stay or small converted stay are available. Kiran Home Stay is OK, only scenic views are attraction of this point.

Homely stay Best for budget travellers Caring Aunty and uncle

One of the best homestays to stay in Sojha. It is located right at the main road turning of Sojha. We stayed here for 7 days and would have loved to extend our stay further if we had time. Homestay is run by lovely couple - Gopi bhai ji and his wife. They'll be always ready to help you with anything you need and try to make your stay comfortable. Both are very genuine and caring people! Rooms are clean, cozy and has wonderful view. Window which opens towards amazing mountain view. 2 blankets were provided. Bedsheet and blankets quality could have been better. But can't expect much since this is a homestay. Bathrooms are also well maintained. Comes without any toiletries or towels. You can buy those from their shop just outside. They also have a small food joint where you can enjoy homemade food such as Poha, Paratha, Maggi, Rajma Chawal, Mix Veg, Rotis, Omlette, Chai, etc. Dishes were made in himachali style with low spices. Don't expect restaurant style food, but it was good. Since there are less options in Sojha, you can try food here which comes at reasonable price. Things to keep in mind: No wifi is there, so if you are looking for workation, you might have to bring your 4G dongle. Airtel 4G works seamless here. Hot water could be an issue due to electricity fluctuations. You have to keep the geyser on for atleast 45 minutes, to get 2 buckets of water. They don't have power backup and there may be power cut for full day in entire region. However, Gopi ji will inform you a day in advance so that you can keep your phone and power bank charged. Conclusion: We should promote locals, instead of staying in branded hotels or hostels in places like Sojha. So, if you need a basic, cozy and comfortable stay, look no further! :)
