Shri Kishori Raman Thakurji started a chain of six educational institutes in Mathura K.R Girl's PG College being one of them . Inaugurated on the 21st of August 1957 it is the oldest female institution of Mathura District.
K.R. Girls Degree College, Mathura is the oldest girls institution for higher studies. Established in 1957, Post Independence this institution paved a way for girls to pursue studies coming from families with a radical approach as not many thought in terms of career those days. Still, those numbered students achieved high ranks and positions. Many chose a career in academics. As the years rolled by, many of the alumni joined diverse fields like banking, teaching and administration.
The institution that started from the boys hostel building was transferred to a rented building when it stayed till the year 1984 until it was given the present patch of land adjoining K.R. Boys College. Here the college bloomed as more open space provided scope for development and now the institution boasts of 40 rooms along with a conference room and a big hall with capacity to seat approximately 200-300 guests.

All the staff is supportive in nature all the time at every aspect of college related doubts. No space for rule breakers. Without DRESS No ENTRY.
