★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Blindly followed the review n drove all the way from Tollygunj to Beck Bagan n bot 4kg mutton. I requested the butcher to suggest good portion of the meat as i was expecting some spcl guests....He gave me the meat whose Quality was v bad, was so tough for my guests to chew, n i was so embarrassed as they kept asking where did i buy it from...The butcher had such a bad attitude and pouncing on me when i requested thinner cut. Was v shocked at his Mijaz. it was their holy month Ramzan and they r usually very humble n respectful to customers at this time....I will never go there again...

If you are a regular you can pre-order.
The location is pretty good. It is just outside the famous Parkcircus Market or Dhanger Bazaar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Today I ordered 500gms of mutton from KOHINOOR MEAT SHOP ( BECKBAGAN) and they provide me hardly 300-350gms (at max) of mutton. I ordered pieces from the Shoulder/Front leg but there was pieces from ribs,back side and all parts of the body . I found it to be a complete TREACHERY. SHAME ON KOHINOOR. ?????????????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of good shops to buy mutton in South Kolkata. The good part is that one can choose the portion of the mutton. One may also buy lean or with fat meat. Ofcourse this is after one buys the mutton portion & then dresses it to lean or with fat. Other portions like brain, paya, kalija etc are also available separately. The butcher here is cooperative. Note the final taste not only depends on the recipy and cooking but also depends on the way the mutton is chopped ... Like against the fiber or along the fiber of the mutton muscle. PS. If you are buying liver ask the butcher to peel off the fine transparent skin.

Looting Customers.
Price mentioned in the board & they are charging are different.
Stealing in weight also.
Purchased 1kg 500 gms mutton.
But when weighed at my own Weigh Machine ,it showed 1kg 300gms
