β β β β β This tall building stands for all things community, creative and creating.
Currently, the ground floor, is house to a body of installations being exhibited by Bose Krishnamachari, (associated with Kochi Biennale) titled, "Mirror sees best in the dark."
The building hosts multiple art galleries and a collection of paintings made by contemporary and relevant artists. All the paintings and installations make for amusing wanderings and interesting conversations.
The space also boasts a compact library which has a variety of books on art, art history and more. You can avail a membership at a fee of RS.500/year and gain access to all the books.
Grace, a vegetarian restaurant is not just an apt name for the restaurant, but also what the entire space screams and shouts. A boutique and store is also available where you can buy art supplies, cutlery, linen, show items etc.
The space condcuts workshops and events on a regular basis.
An Amphitheatre, conservation labs and lot of creative spaces and art exhibits make this place ideal for artists and innovators alike. If this does not make for a creators den, I don't know what will!

β β β β β A universe of creativity. A kaleidoscope of creativity. Constant at a place, but changing constantly--with series of exhibitions, installations and what not. For the ones who have been to museums, this place is different. 5 floors to explore, and all will floor you with individual flow of creative brilliance. One might need an entire day to walk, pause, watch and keep everything in memory. The promoters of this place, Emami Group and the Director of KCC, Ms. Reena Dewan, and everybody else associated with it must be thanked wholeheartedly for gifting Kolkata with a marvellous magnet.
