Kolkata's Mayor sits there. Historical place because its first Mayor was none other than Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
There are several departments for Kolkata township planning like sewage,water,road,solid waste,house and land dept.etc.. Various peoples come there to solve there problems and so on.

From getting birth certificate to death certificate, water connection, building connection, building repairing connection ... trade license, all ward work done here. Be aware of broker's, most of the bank atms are available. Best time to visit between 11 am till 4pm.
