This place is amazing if the weather is cool and cloudy
Coz the boat ride with scenic view of clouds,lake and hills is something you don't want to miss out on!!
This place is perfect for your photoshoots coz you'll get all those good backgrounds..
Best to visit with a gang and carry your own food ?

when u want to feel the nature close to you !! The bird sounds and Water splashes still go in my ear even aftr a week since I visited .
The boat ride seems to be little expensive but bargain works !
Best time to visit is either for sunrise or sunset .
NOTE: The depth of the water is somewhere between 6-8ft so it's completely safe ! ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best place to take a boat ride in vizag, mornings are the best because we can see the sunrise and get some Lotus for ourselves ?. This is the place only for boat riding but not a picnic spot to stay for a while.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a nice place to visit as a tourist and as a bird watching enthusiast. But the place lacks basic facilities like a proper toilet or shelter for tourists visiting from far off or nearby places.
The boatmen claim that there are several migratory birds, but I could hardly see more than couple of dozens of birds.
There’s no display of any kind of information from AP tourism , which is a shame as visitors need to depend on Google for information.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful and serene fresh water Lake with paid boat ride facility.It makes for a good day trip from Vizag and ideal for a date or with a couple of friends.I wouldn't recommend this for a larger group as there are no other sights to see or activities to be explored nearby.I could spot a few resorts nearby but seemed very small and not very promising.True bird enthusiasts may love this,I could spot quite a few colorful birds and a few varieties of ducks.
The boat ride was very good but not for people who don't like adventure as they are tiny gondolas made of palm trees and no life jackets are provided.The fare for a small boat (fits 2) was 400rs for 30mins.There are also medium sized boats(fits10) for 60-100rs per person.Our boat driver Mr Ramakrishna needs special mention as he was very enthusiastic and helped us enjoy the ride thouroughly,very safe and experienced driver too,picked out lotuses for us and gave us insights into their lifestyle and the history of the place.Parking space was neat and well maintained.Do carry your own water bottles and food.
It's truly a hidden gem of tourism and I pray anyone who visits not to litter there.Ideal time to visit is in the winter months,early in the morning before 10am on a weekday.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best experience of the place can only be experienced if you visit during dawn or dusk hours. But you should try to reach a bit early There is this beautiful lake which is full of lotus plants and is as clean as it can be. Boating service is provided by locals at a reasonable price for half an hr. The natural beauty of this place is mesmerizing to say the least and you can also see different types of birds in and around the lake. The locals were very welcoming. overall an amazing experience.

The place is easy to visit the roads are good.
Timing
The perfect timing to visit this place is
Morning 5-7 am or evening 4-5 pm.
The local union will offer boat rides. Range btw Rs150-100 per person, depending on no. of ppl you go as a grp.
Max 20 members can go at a time in a single boat.
Best place for wedding photoshoots also.
Just follow Google maps making a ride with (a car an option for good directions)
