★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family and me visited here as on 07/05/22. The ambience and hospitality is very good. But their food was not covered up to the mark. They gave do much sweet in their dish. We tasted authentic bengali food not the sweet dish. But the vetki fish fry was very good. We ordered

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just fews days back I went to this place with my mom to have our lunch, as she loves bengali food so I just thought of trying out this place.

Food quality and quantity was really good.ambience was very much colourful.staffs are very friendly, really you can must tried their traditional bengali dishes. Price was very much affordable.

Recently I visited Kopai, swade thakurbari (named after Rabindranath's kopai nodi), which has a nice decor, some amazing Bengali thalis and delicious food. It's located near Sarat Bose post office, Southern Avenue. All the dishes are flavourful, light and come with decent portions.

Then Kopai Restaurant (Swadee Thakurbari) , is the one of the best bangali restaurant in South kolkata with great theme based ambience. Kopai is a name of a river and it has a mention in a poem of Rabindranath Tagore . As the restaurant is named after the famous poem kopai, it has a ambience based on bangali poems written by Rabindranath Tagore and the staff behavior was also very polite and friendly. We tried some of their unique dishes and some of the dishes were highly recommended. We tried :

~ Mutton cheese gulabi kabab (Highly recommended)
~ Aloo Paratha
~ Cholar daler Mangsho (Highly recommended)

The lebu sorbot was really very good and refreshing . The starter was really very soft and juicy and it has a balance taste of spice in it. The choler daler mangsho with the paratha is the best combo and it is a must try dish. Though it was a veg item, chapar ghonto is a good choice for the veg lovers. Something that end wells is the best thing, the mutton rasalla was the show stopper, it is one of the best mutton reciepe I tried in a bengali style. They have wide range of menu apart from this so you can easily go and enjoy their food with family and friends
