Sri Ramanappa Naidu Garu was the founder trustee of this ancient temple. Here all the rituals are performed as in Sri Perumbudur.

Sri Adikesava Embermannar Swamy Temple is among the places of faith and worship of Vaishnavites, located in West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. This beautiful temple was built about more than two centuries ago. It is of similar architecture and design as that of the renowned Sriperumbudur Temple in Tamil Nadu. The annual Brahmotsav festival of the temple is organized between April and May. This festival is celebrated with great pomp and splendor lasting for days. The major town close to this temple is Eluru, which is about 65 km north-east of Vijayawada. Buses ply from Eluru to Dwaraka Tirumala (Chinna Tirupathi), Vijayawada and Powerpet. History: Sri Adikesava Swami kovela in Narsapuram is built by Sri Ramanappa Naidu replicating the structure of Sriperumbudur temple in Tamilnadu which is famous as Avatar Sthala of Saint Ramanuja, the great philosopher of Sri Vaishnavism. During British time, Sri Prasannagresara Puppala Ramanappa Naidu a translator , who was working for the British East India Company attended Sri Ramayana Pravachanam/Kalakshepam by Sriman U.Ve Eunni Ramanujacharya Swamy.Once the pravachanam is done , Sri Ramanappa Naidu wanted to offer Guru Dakshina to Sri Ramanujacharya Swamy. Sri Ramanujacharya Swamy instructed Ramanappa Naidu to construct AdiKesava Emberumaanar Swamy Kovela in Narsapuram in parlance with Swamy Kovela in Sri Perumbudur. Then Sri Ramanappa Naidu went to Sriperumbudur as per the instruction given by Sri Ramanujacharya Swamy. In Sriperumbudur , another Thirumeni of Swamy Emberumanar is arranged in Ekasanam(Same altar) with the original thirumeni of Emberumanar. After Six months of Thiruvaradhanam for both the Thirumenis , new Thirumeni is brought to Narsapuram in palanquin and installed in Sri Adikesava Swamy Kovela. And few families of Sri Vaishnavas also migrated from Sriperumbudur to perform the regular services of Emberumanar Swamy on par with Service in Sriperumbudur. The Aasanam (altar) of Sri Emberumanar Swamy is called Bhadravedi or Thrivedi signifying the authority of Swamy in all the three types of Sruthis namely Bheda, Abheda, and Ghataka. Temple description: One can see the main deity of the Temple Sri Adikesavaperumal, with his consorts Sreedevi and Bhudevi, and Sri Emberumanar .To the right of the main shrine is the sanctum sanctorum of Sri Ramanuja and to the left is Sree Yatirajanathavallithayar. Her name denotes that she is the consort of the master of the king of saints, Yathiraja (Ramanuja). This is the only temple where Goddess Lakshmi has a name attributed to a devotee of the lord. She is a “Varaprasadi”, who grants all wishes. It’s believed that by worshipping Sri AdiKesava Swamy all the sorrows will be removed and if any vampire take a dip in the Swamy Pushkarini, all the curses will be destroyed. So it is also called as Abhinava Bhoothapuri. U.Ve Sriman Kidambi GopalaKrishnamacharya Swamy wrote in his Kavyas about the main Utsavams of the temple. Daily Pooja/Festivals Celebrated: Daily Archanas are performed. Special Poojas are performed on festive days. Thirunakshatra Utsavams are celebrated very grandly which is real eye feast for the devotees. In these ThiruNakshatra Mahotsavams, the main thing is THADIYARADHANA. Thadi means Bhagavatha and Aradhana means Seva. Every SriVaishnava believes that Bhagavatha Seva is greater than the Bhagavath Seva. This Thadiyaradhana was going on since 300 years with the blessings of Swamy Emberumaanar in Tirunakshatra Utsavas. Yearly Once Brahmotsavams for Adikesava Swamy are performed for which devotees will come from various places to attend the grand celebrations. In Brahmotsavams, God and Goddesses are adorned amazingly and in the morning Dwajarohanam, Pushpaka Vahanam,Sesha Vahanam ,Garuda Seva SuryaPrabhaVahanam,Jaganmohini,Vasanthotsavam,Tirumanjanam,Kelam Agrahara Utsavam,Yedu Musugulu,Pallaki Utsavam,Chakrasnanam,Alamkara Tirumanjanam are performed on the respective days. During Brahmotsavams , In the Evenings Sri Adikesava Swamy procession is performed as follows : Ankurarpana,Simha Vahanam,Hamsa Vahanam,Hanumanth

Peaceful place.temple is old but beautiful According to the people near the temple it is very powerful and shiv the mighty god the creator helps all the way.Better when you visit at festivals?. Sri Puppala Ramanappa Naidu, constructed the temple around 400-500 years ago. The temple is similar in architecture to the Sriperambadur Temple at Bhootapuri in TamilNadu. So the temple is also known as Abhinava Bhootapuri.Brahmotsavam is held between the Apr-May which attratcts thousands of people around the state. The story line begins from Perambadur near chennai. The temple named Sri Adikesava Emberemannar Swamy temple was laid at Perambadhur and the Lord Ramanjan was glory in that temple..Lord Ramanujan, who has significant role in the extension of hindutva (in regards with vaishnava). Lord Ramanujan born at peramabadur. The temple Adikesava Kovela in Narasapur is similar to Perambadhur temple in every inch of architecture..and size. At one night Ramanujachari came into the dream of Sri Puppala Ramanappa ....The dream narrates as follows,The temple was inaugurated by puppala ramanappa naidu. This is the only one temple in Andhra Pradesh which stictly follows the Vasishna method. The Bramhostava was held for the lord Ramanuja who given Astokthara mantra to make people strenghty and to save people from evils calls a OM NAMO NARAAYANA. The temple Adikesava Kovela in Narasapur is similar to Perambadhur temple in every inch of architecture..and size.

Very nice perumal temple in Narsapur town. Huge and spacious temple complex. Main God is Aadikesava Perumal. You can also see Andal Amman and Ramanujacharya idols within the temple. Enough parking space available for cars and bikes. The puskarini aka Pond is not in a good shape. Lot of chariots you can also see while doing pradakshina.
