Once upon a time, Indian hare (Lepus nigricollis) also known as the black-naped hare, Striped Hyena (Hyaena hyaena), Gray Langur (Simia entellus), Jackal, various types of birds etc. were found here. The native name of this forest ‘KHORAR BAGAN’ (খরার বাগান) had came from bengali term of black-naped hare ‘KHORA’ (খরা). Now only Gray Langur or Hanuman Langur, Fox, Jackal and various types of birds are available. It's also a nice place for Picnic.
