Krishi Mela Auditorium - Bengaluru

It was a nice experience attending the Krishi Mela 2k18. Saw good projects and overall, I enjoyed it.

Auditorium is quite big for meetings, 400 people can easily fill in.

Attend this event every year, get to learn a lot on Innovation in Agriculture and farming, sheer crowd it draws every year is a testimonial of success of this event and peoples interested in farming !!

Krishi mela auditorium is the place which is located inside GKVK: Government Krishi Vidhya Kendra... Here yearly they will conduct the program called "Krishi Mela" We can get complete information about agricultural tips, irrigation tips and much more.. Here all top experts will gather together and share their experience and useful tips to help to grow crops in a better way.. Every farmer should visit krishi mela as it is very helpful for agriculture...

It's the occasion organized by government and the agricultural University located here once in a year The complete knowledge towards agricultural can be gained here. It's very much useful for farmers who ever comes here can learn more about technology and the products related to farming. It's celebrated as festival every once in a year during the month of October or November.

The experience for a agricultural enthusiast is really good. There were many exhibitions related to: 1. animals, 2. fisheries, 3. birds, 4. farming tools, 5. plants of various types like indoor, outdoor, tree saplings etc., 6. farming techniques etc. Along with this, there were various handmade eco friendly interior decoration items made of bamboo, wood, coconut shell etc. There were various small depictions of farming methods, types of plants grown locally etc.

Once in a year krishi mela will be organize here, where you can witness complete innovation, new ideas in the field of agriculture and animal science. Many stalls related to agriculture will be there. Food court also there for both veg n nonveg. If you want to explore new things or complete structure of agriculture , do visit this place during krishi mela. Generally it'll be there for 4 days during month of October or November. Very big exhibition will be there. Enjoy it.

It was very well organised . A small write up about my visit here... Accompanied with vinay Simha my cousin and visited gkvk campus.. It's a huge campus and krishi mela very well organised, but bit of inconvenience due to continuous rains from past 3 days.. People everywhere .. from all over different parts of karnatak people came in and it's a huge rush .. 1000s of cars and lacks of bikes ? Entusiast people came by mahindra thar, issuzu , tata xenon , mahindra bolero pickup... We started to visit stalls one by one.. we were so lucky, we were blessed as we got chance to meet Prasanna murthy (my you tube guru for - zero budget natural forming) following shubhash palekar method of natural farming in the first stall itself... Took a selfie with him.. Happy about meeting him in krishi mela.. We moved on to next set of stalls and got chance to get details about various farming related equipments such as modern hand tillers, grass and weed cutters.. various millets flooring machines and oil extraction machines... Collected all such company pamplets so we can use it when we reach such stage.. We moved on to next set of stalls to understand menures.. organic menure, natural menure etc.. We moved on to next section where we got chance to see lots of food related value addition products like millets mix juices pickles jaggery etc.. We visited a help centre and found a place to check the mud sample from farm, got chance to talk to Dr Mamatha .. mud sample specialist.. she provided lot of details about how to collect and get the mud from farm also provided details where to get the test done.. We also visited latest method of micro irrigation ( megha) drip and sprinklers.. latest technology of micro irrigation is mist irrigation.. this method saves lot of water as well do not harm the soil similar to drip or sprinkler methods.. Then we got chance to visit the greenhouse .. aquatics and vertical soil less farming .. all looks so lucrative and fancy.. Banana and papaya grown inside the green house were so good quality.. there were lots of exotic vegetables grown inside polyphonic greenhouse.. all looked very good.. then moved and saw various millets and sunflower plants grown on the premises.. Overall it was very useful visit and time well spent Still we could not cover many other sections due to time crunch
