Vegetables,fruits can be had at this area,from early morning till 9.30 am generally.
I haven't seen here availablity of food grains for selling or buying, may be possible that I couldn't seen that area where grains can be sold or bought.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The wholesal market for all type of vegetables and fruits. Situated in a big area and can handle a large amount of croud anytime. You can buy vegetables etc at the lowest possible prices in you need in bulk. Not suitable for small purchase like 1/2 kg or 1kg, mainly for min 1 Dhari (5KG).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can get fresh Vegetables and Fruits in whole sale. Mostly things will not be available for less than 5 kg in weight but if things are expensive like 100 Rs/kg or more than you can get quantity of 1 kg too. You'll also get some retailers of Vegetables and fruits at the beginning of the market where you can get things at better price (cheaper by 20% or more) than your neighborhood. Area has majorly three zones at the beginning you'll find retailers following this you'll see very busy vegetable's market and fruit market is hidden behind vegetable market, not immediately visible.
Avoid to come by four wheelers and try to reach in early morning like 7 am. If you reach late then lots loaded vehicles will coming out of the market and you'll not get space to enter and their will be big jam and chaos. Always wear mask even if there is no corona. Always carry additional vegetable bags because you'll definitely find something which you didn't thought of buying but now you can not go without buying it. You must come with some additional help because you can not carry your stuff alone. You can hire e-rikshaw while going back.
In general if I buy 10 kg onion, 5 kg potato, 1 kg lemon, 1 kg ginger, 1kg garlic, 1 kg green chilli and 1 kg red and yellow bell peppers and some green vegetables I carry Rs 1500 and if you want fruits in bulk carry Rs 700. You are going to enter in really busy area so Avoid to come with your expensive phones and wallet with your ids and other important things. I have not heard about pick pocketing but many people loose their stuff in this busy place.
Out side main gate of Mandi samiti there are food outlets for items like amritsari naan, paratha stalls, pakori, jalebi and lots of other stuff with very reasonable price. Taste is ok ok and you'll not get disappointed. Hygiene may be a concern. There are some meat shops in front of main gate so you can cover that shopping too. Fishes are not available.
Please note this place is very very busy during morning session and after 1 pm you'll not find anyone except some abandon animals.
