★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I approached the emergency unit of the hospital as i experienced mild chest pain just to rule out the chances of any issues related to heart. The attending doctor, whose name i do not know but was very senior in age, immediately took my BP, SPO2, ECG. I could see my BP and SPO2 were in the normal range. He saw the ECG report and then alarmed us by saying that there some changes in the ECG graph and that we should go for the angiography test.
I asked him again if my ECG isn't normal just to confirm. He said that there are some mild changes that suggests angiography test to be done. This time he said you can wait for another 2-3 days if you want as it is a mild change in the ECG. But better to go for angiography test.
I showed the same ECG report to two different cardiologist of other hospitals, but both of them confirmed of the normal ECG report. That there is nothing to worry pertaining to the ECG report. Its perfectly fine.
Now, if i would have gone by the advice of this senior doctor then certainly i had some problems and that i have to undergo angiography test. Such are the attending doctors in this hospital and that too in the emergency ward who are so sure to diagnose a problem with the ECG report. They just create a sense of fright and uneasiness in the patient's mind and drag them to angiography test despite that the ECG is normal. Of course he found some abnormalities in that report.
So my message through this review is just be careful and wiser and do not rely on whatever the doctors there would say. Not trustworthy.
