Lemon Grass Asansol - Asansol

Ambience of the restaurant is quite good for family get together...though price of the food seems that be in higher side in compare to tier 2 city. But taste of every food we ordered was very good.

Located beside Carnival main entrance in Centrum Mall, 5th Floor, Lemon Grass chain has only recently opened an outlet in Asansol. And we have all been waiting for such a restro to pop up in these suburbs for a long time. The place serves really decent to absolutely delicious food along with a lovely ambience and courteous staff. The restro is two-storeyed, with the upper level specifically reserved for large group events and parties. The place can serve upto 50-60 patrons at a time and the service is more or less quick as well. Thus, during housefull Sunday eves, waiting time hardly lasts for 15-20 mins. The interior decor is very welcoming yet modern, with touches of antiquity in the nooks and corners, with International hit tracks playing in the background to subdue the monotonousity. Below are the food we ordered and my reviews as follows : 1. Crispy Chilli Babycorn - okayish. slight crispy 2. Murgh Malai Kebab - HEAVENLY; with perfectly cooked chicken in a very flavorful, creamy sauce and salsa; the green chutney was bad though. 3. Crispy Chicken in Chilli Mustard Sauce - really delish with a unique flavour 4. Chicken in Chilli Oyster Sauce - salty and umami flavour, not that sweet or spicy 5. Schezwan Chicken - meh. just like any other restaurant. but well cooked chicken 6. Mixed Lemon Grass Spl. Fried Rice - okayish. with hint of lemon grass 7. Chicken Pan Fried Noodles - The best noodle dish here. Period. With slight crispy noodles and enticing gravy along with chicken and egg and bok choy, corn, bell papers, mushroom, beans, spinach, onions and carrots. 8. Sweet Lime Soda - not the best, but good to have along with greasy Chinese dishes to wash it all down. The quantity was good along with the quality of food. I'm myself a sort of Chicken connoisseur so I guarantee you to be mind-blown if you taste their kebabs. Its really worth the visit since we did go back more than once just to have the Murgh Malai Kebab and Pan Fried Noodles once again. The staff is friendly and courteous. Do request for special instructions for preparation or sauces if any. Price is moderate to costly, but given the ambience and quality, two factors that is becoming extremely rare in this city, I'd say its pretty worthwhile. The options are limited to decent and the menu not being 10 pages long is actually smart. I'd recommend everyone to try this place at least once since I'd love to go back again on any weekend.

My experience at lemon grass was really good. The staff understood our requirements and were quick to response. Food served was tasty, though a little bit on the pricer side but the location deserves the amount. Interior was beautiful. One can get a section pre booked for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. You can also get decoration done at price of Rs 1200 at present. Do try their mocktails.

A good place with good food. Lots of scope to improve the ambience. Seating is average, walls are bare.... Cutlery is bad

A place with nice ambience & decor with equally good food . This Restaurant has survived the 2 waves of Pandemic & hope that it'll b able to survive 3rd one too & slowly expand their menu & create perhaps a Roof top Diner area one day !!????

We tasted Squids for the first time and Lemongrass Restaurant made our first try a good one! We also had drums of heaven and they were yummy too. The blue lagoon was worth the try too. The ambience of the place and the customer service was also very good. The prices are high but worthwhile!

Their speciality is in fishes, the other items are also reasonable and decent for the price. I personally felt that the biriyani could have been better. They also served us welcome drink and snacks. Staffs are very well behaved.

Very sophisticated place and quite a pleasant environment. Prices are a bit high but the food is luscious. We tasted squids for the first time and literally fell in love with it. The preparation was too good. The workers and the chef behaved really well with us and time to time asked if we needed something or not.
