librarian too.
wonderful collection too.
its from here i learned beyond tsr public library, read lots of classics, including camus, kafka, sartre, russel, haruki murukami and more.
its a great place.

In a boring sunday of 2016 I googled 'Library near me' and found there is Lipi nearby.
I walked there. Met Pratap the librarian. Understood how renting system works and then went outside.
Somehow the library, its smell of books, its smallness, and the owner Pratap stayed in my heart.
Next Sunday I went again. Tried to talk with Pratap. Started membership with 500 rupees.
I spent 1 hour discussing books with Pratap. What a great guy! Me being a Gujarati novelist told him my journey. He being a scientist told me about his company of research. We talked about books and stories and life in Bangalore.
What a beautiful day it was! Since then me and Pratap spent so many hours talking and understanding each other. We enjoyed our beautiful friendship.
Lipi is small, but a profound thing happened to my beautiful life. I have many library subscriptions but there is nothing like Lipi.
Go there. Read.
Reading will change everything and make you better person.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I miss this awesome library.. Such a small.. Cozy place with heaps of tales and knowledge.
And the librarian Mr. Pratab is such a wonderful person and have very good knowledge of books. U just have to tell him ur joner and he will introduce u with excellent collection and some hidden gems too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An amazing place. As they say books lead you to heaven. They have a great collection of books in all genres which can be rented at minimal prices. The owners are also readers themselves and would love to give you advice on what to pick up and whats the trending stuff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is places like these that give a city an identity. We were recommended by a family friend and were surprised that we hadn't been here earlier. The owner is really knowledgeable and his recommendations were really good. He has books for early readers (5-6 year olds) to the serious ones. Highly recommend to anyone who reads more than a few books a year.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this place! My favourite library in Bengaluru! If you're in BTM or some area nearby, do drop in. It's a tiny place but has literally got all the books in the world. If you've got no idea what to read next or are just beginning to cultivate the habit of reading, this is the place for you. That's because the librarian, Mr. Prathap, will guide you based on your interests. He'll keep you engaged in interesting conversations and discussions on books, politics, movies, current affairs, and what not!
The membership and rental fee is also really less compared to most libraries. I don't reside in BTM anymore but I still try to drop by whenever I can.
