Scenario1: in store's favor:
1) Directly select what you want to buy
2) Pay whatever they ask because store has fixed rates and their own tags with prices
3) Take your apparels
Result: Everyone is happy and smiling :)
scenario2 : Customers' descretion
1) You ask for more choices
2) you take more than 3-4 clothes for trial
3) Looking at your choice and price, you decide not to buy
Result :
1) Salesman becomes furious and arrogant, they starts sarcastic comments in the middle of the selection, 'I think you will not buy anything', 'that color won't suit you', 'this is beyond your range'
2) Rude comments like, 'if you don't have money why do you come to our store'
Choice is yours, if you want self-ridicule and humiliate yourself, you are more than welcome in such stores. No wonder, why people started preferring malls instead.
