Lodhi colony in the neighbourhood of Lodhi Road, Jor Bagh road etc, is the last British construction in India. From 2015, renowned and international artists have been invited to create this area in which they have painted the walls of buildings, residential and commercial with vibrantly coloured pictures. It is now visited by hundreds of visitors just to ogle at the pictures. One has to pound the pavements religiously to see all the pictures, and even then one is unsure if one has seen everything. There are small plaques giving the name of the artist, nationality etc by each painting.

If you are an art enthusiast or loves graffitis, this place is for you. Located in the Lodhi colony, it is India's first open-air art district. The walls of all houses are beautifully painted in different designs. All the blocks could be covered by walking and as a cherry on top, this is a great place for photoshoots and street photography.

Lodhi Colony was the last housing estate build by the British, which bears a rich history in Delhi's timeline for its iconic architecture. Since 2015, 50 renowned street artists from across the world have been invited by St+Art India Foundation to create the Lodhi Art District making it India's first art district now visited by the every day individual to foreign tourists and international dignitaries. PRO TIP: Keep your cameras charged and wear your most comfortable shoes because you might just want to keep walking. You can also get a bicycle for a tour of this society Also, JLN Stadium metro station located on the violet line is the closest.

One day I saw a picture of wall art on account of some photographer. After few days I decided to visit this region and see paintings by my own eyes. I visited a small part of Lodhi art district and going to come again. It's really cool place?

Definitely worth visiting if you're an art and graffiti fan. The murals are spread all over the district and not confined to a single row of houses meaning you have to explore the whole area in order to view all of them. So it is advisable to visit this place in the evening as the weather might be more favorable then.

For the first time I have seen artists drawing a beautiful mural live. Must visit to appreciate and admire artwork by talented painters. Not necessary to have in depth knowledge about art, just slow down and admire the surrounding. Before murals, Lodhi colony is Central Government Officers and Staff Residential Colony was was famous for Khanna Market but now it is converted into vibrant neighborhood. Must visit!
