★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had to visit this station as my daughter's centre for 12th boards was in Ali Ganj Lodhi road. After she entered to write exam I had a lot of time to kill. And to spend time I started exploring nearby places. After roaming in Khanna market without any interest I decided to go and watch trains at Lodhi road station as I had plenty of time. So after walking 100 mts. I reached the station and entered from B K Dutt colony side. There is no parking area or structure in the station and no ramp for wheelchair. Means entrance is not disabled friendly. On entering I saw ticket windows closed as if no trains are to be boarded. Some one sitting there informed me that ticket counter opens 15 to 30 minuter before arrival of local trains and frequency of trains is two or three times a day. Mostly goods train passes from here, which I found out to be true. Then I reached at the platform and saw a few people mostly killing their time there on mobiles or simply gossiping to each other. Some benches were empty and I chose one which was farther away. Then settled I started observing the station and people. Public toilet was nowhere to be seen or maybe it was locked. Adjacent to ticket counter room there is another room where a kid was playing outside and a it seemed that room is residence. Clothes were drying in it. A women was also washing clothes nearby. People from both sides of the railway line were crossing constantly. Goods trains were frequently passing the station. Some school kids were also spending time there. Overall a lonely station and good one to spend time watching trains. ?
