श्री देवविष्णू एकूण दहा अवतार असल्याचे मानले जाते. यातला तिसरा अवतार म्हणजे वराह.वराहावतारात विष्णूने पृथ्वी उचलली असा समज आहे. वराह हा राजशक्तीचे प्रतिक आहे.या अवतारात श्रीविष्णूने वराहाचे म्हणजेच डुकराचे रूप धारण केले होते.अशाच अवताराचे सुंदर रूप धारण केलेले शिल्प आपल्या महाराष्ट्रात आहे.पुण्याहून साधारणपणे ९०-९५ किमी अंतरावर आणि बारामती तालुक्यात अष्टविनायकां पैकी एक असलेल्या मोरगांव पासून सुमारे अकरा किलोमीटर अंतरावर "लोणी भापकर" नावाचे गाव आहे.स्वत:चे वाहन असल्याच उत्तम कारण गाव थोडेसं आडवाटेवरच आहे.
पेशव्यांचे सरदार सोनजी गुरखोजी भापकर यांचे इनाम गाव.गावाच्या बाहेर एक सुंदर मल्लिकार्जून मंदिर आहे आणि याच आवारातच यज्ञवराहाचे हे सुंदर शिल्प दिसते. वराह अवताराची मूर्ती नृवराह हया स्वरुपाची म्हणजे नृवराहाचे धड मानवाचे तर शिर वराहाचे असते. शिल्पाच्या म्हणजेच वराहाच्या पायाशी शेषनाग आहे.पायांना नागदेवतेचे तोडे घातलेले आहेत, तसेच चारही पायांजवळ शंख, चक्र, गदा आणि पद्म ही विष्णूची प्रतीके साकारलेली आहेत.यज्ञवराहाच्या पायाजवळ कौमोदकी गदा आणि शेपटीत अडकलवेली पृथ्वी दिसते.पाठीवर १४२ विष्णू मूर्तीची प्रतिमा (झूल) अलंकृत केलेली आहेत.एवढी ही सुंदर मूर्ती तुम्ही नक्कीच पाहा.
