★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maa Barala Devi Temple is a Shakti pitha 20 km away from Phulbani,Odisha.
Very old goddess but temples are 25 to 20 years old.3 temples are there.
The main Temple is 30 feet height ,30feet ×30 feet Area.
Toal campus is about 800feet × 500 feet size.
From ritual point of view, the Goddess fulfills all wishes of her devotees in turn devotees should have some offering for goddess.
The temple opens within 7.00Am & closes at 12 to 1.00pm & again opens at 5 to 6pm & closes at 6.30 to 7.30 pm depending upon duration of day like in winter & summer.
A very small market is present ,you can take snacks & cheap breakfast.
No hotel & restaurant is there.
Being a nature lover, you can enjoy the car ride or bike ride with fresh air with side jungle view.
Two routes from Phulbani,One is along Bhubaneswar/Nayagarh which is better & time saving & good quality road compared to along that Berhampur route.
My suggestion is that if you are going to phulbani ,you must visit this Temple & give a good offering to fulfill your desires.
Mother Barala Devi is Great Goddess .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The beautiful place in the lap of nature is famous for the Goddess BARALA DEVI who is believed to be the saviour of the world. The temple of Barala Devi is located in Balaskumpa village at a distance of 18 km away from Phulbani. The village is also popular for its tribes, who are the natives of the place. According to them, Barala Devi is the creator of the world.
The people of this area visit the Goddess frequently on many occasions particularly on Dashahara. Dashahara Puja is celebrated with great pomp and show.. Pillasalunki Dam site which is an ideal and charming place for picnic and sight seing is only 3 kms from this spot. This spot is a good place to relax and unwind.
Balaskumpa is a village in this south-east of Kandhmal (Phulbani) Sub-Division situated 20-25’N and 84-21’ at the confluence of two hill streams which combine to form Pilla Salki river. The village contains a shrine, Baraladevi, the presiding deity of Kandhamal. The goddess is worshipped every year in the bright fortnight of Aswin (Sept-October). It is 15 km (9.3 mi) from Phulbani district headquarters, connected by a good road.
