★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thats my village....and i love that temple since my childhood. Thats a holy place of lord maa dhakhina kali ?. And a small river inside the temple. The MERU (danda jatra/meru yatra ) festival celebrete every year during summer season in the month of april (in hindu calender -baisakh). Around 1500 pilgrims walk in danda jatra and cover around 12 villege which was fixed before. lord maa dhakhina kali temple was situated a distance of 6 kilo metre from angul bustand.

Maa is Facing towards the South direction (Dakhina) that's why Maa is known as Dakhina Kali.Maa is the Egeria (Išťh Dëvėė of Our Village. The main Function of Our Village is Meru Yatra which is falls one day before Pana Sankranti (Mahavishuba Sankranti) every year which is mostly 13th April but in leap year it's 12th of this month, in Odia Month may be in Chàiţŕá or Bāisaķh. This festival begins from 13days before the meru yatra i.e known as Danda Uthana. From this day Maa travels 11days along with its pilgrims.
Other Functions of Maa DakhinaKali are BadaPuja which falls on odia month Jýãštha Krishna Dwitiya & after a week Athuari Puja.
Dusserha, KaliPuja are also main function of it.

It's a devine place. Maa blesses every seeker, visitor and refuge with love.
