Very close to Chilika lake.
The temple is famous for its scenic location on a hill surrounded by thick forest, some 4 kms from the highway.
It is a popular picnic spot for locals and devotees keep on thronging in quite a good number. It is goddess Durga temple and quite primitive in look.
It takes some steps to reach main part of temple but it is not very steep.
In rains, some streams pass through sideways of temple. Good to visit at least once when passing through the highway.

The temple is popular for Durga Puja and a fair held in the Indian month of Chaitra. The temple was renovated by the zamindars of Khalikote in the early 18th century. The style of the temple is a Khakhara Deula, like Vaital Deula. It is supposed to have existed before 12th Century AD. The temple is known for the scenic beauty of the surrounding countryside' including Chilika Lake.
