★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Madhyamgram Rural Hospital, as the name states isn't a fancy very well equipped hospital. It serves the basic primary health needs of the local people. There are General OPD, Gynecology OPD and Paediatrics OPD. Most other departments are absent. Regarding testing facility, basic tests like CBC, MPDA, Dengue IgM ELISA tests are done here apart from X-Ray (not digital) and ECG. There's a dressing room for trauma patients (mild-moderate trauma only can be managed here). The emergency department is always open though (24x6 as it's closed on Sunday 9am-Monday 9am). There basic indoor facility with ~25 beds. Previously, delivery of pregnant mothers and eye operations used to be conducted here but as of late 2019, those have stopped due to lack of doctors (transferred/retired) and infrastructure (for eg.- the labour room ceiling leaks water). In case of Dog/Cat bites/scratches, injection TT are available but ARV isn't. Most of the serious patients are referred to Barasat District Hospital.
Overall, a great place for primary aid of ailments and trauma at no cost for the locals. But for long term proper health care, this is not the destination.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a government hospital. Hospital maintenance is extremely poor. The treatment stander is extremely low. Most of the time you can't find doctors in emergency section. If patients comes they just transfer to another hospital after doing some basic first aid. This is free checkup hospital so poor people make gather in outdoor time. Must increase the quality of treatment, don't ignore poor people.
