★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Marriage Registration - Since I stay in the jurisdiction of Mahadevapura sub registrar office and having local address proof such as voter id card and gas bill to prove my local residence . I went to this office .One of you should have local address . My wife don’t have any local address till now. My marriage happened in different state other than Karnataka this year. I filled one form which I got at ground floor of the office for 30rs , filled details of all including my wife and three witnesses,take there signature at home,no need to bring witness to office but both the couple should be present. Along with form ,you need to carry id for age proof/address proof/ wedding card/ marriage post card size photo / 6 joint photo of 2b size.If your wedding card is in Hindi,that will also work,they will ask you to write main things on wedding card in English. 235 rs is the legal charge but final amount you pay for marriage certificate depends on the person you’re interacting . Its hardly 30 minutes process. I got it in 1hour on same day. After process is done you get 2 original marriage certificate for both of you. Go early in the morning at 10.30 am and don’t encourage bribe.Best of luck.

Pros - definitely a lot cleaner and more open, people are more friendly, and they don't make you run around - that's exactly what happened in kr puram - until someone rudely told us that we needed to go to the mahadevapura office.
In the Mahadevapura office - people are generally nice, calm, they explain stuff
Cons - this comes at a cost - we had to shell out 600 rs for what is a 20 rs job.
Also - people take their lunch breaks very seriously in any govt office - if you go there any time during the afternoon - be prepared to wait.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for registering our marriage here and it was a charm like Govt office experience. Never expected such seamless experience with govt officials. The lady in charge for the marriage registration was very friendly and polite. We got our marriage certificate within the same day with a fee of some 250 Rs on 1st Jan 2019(some agents outside quoted as high as Rs 21000 for doing this). I highly recommend this office for any related work. The only thing may be that they only cater to the citizens residing in their area of service as per the govt rules, so just check on that. 5 stars for all the services we used here

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pros: I Appreciate there help, helping and calm staff as compare to other government office. Clean office. You will get the Marriage certificate on the same day (for me hardly it took 3 hour for the entire process).
Cons: Main reason for there calmness is they are taking bribe for each step to complete the process, just for one sign one guy took 500 rs. and for one entry in computer one lady took 100 rs.
There should be proper camera so that they can't ask money from anyone to complete the process.

The beauty of the government job is pretty evident by looking at the Timing the employees come to work. The lady sub-registrar comes only after 12:00pm.
What a lavish return they get for working in government departments. And private employees like us earn to pay them bribe and pay taxes for their salaries.
Shame on Indian Bureaucracy.

these works could have been moved online..
this place is full of corruption..
I had to bribe 600rs to get my sale deed MOD change of ownership..
such a sick place.. Den of corruption

Suggestions for everyone directly go to first floor and inquire for marriage certificate.
