★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place for quick breakfast. Well know for Kachori, hing kachori, singara. Although these days the quality of tea has fallen down due to excessive use water while mixing it with milk. Malpoa is also not worthy, too much use of food colours. Gulab Jamun is good as they serve it hot. Lassi they have a separate counter that is actually quite good. Lassi starting from 60 to 120.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maharaja or maharani...it's all the same to us. Sometime here ..sometimes there.
They mainly specialise in the marwari style of snacks.the samosa, jalebi amd kachori are typical of the north indian style .since childhood we have been addicted to these amd still continuing to hog on these oily snacks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Must visit place if you're in Kolkata there's also Maharani shop just near to this and both the places serve almost same menu and taste is almost the same. Now its upto you, you wanna binge in maharaja or maharani. Personally chai is better here.

Its bustling with people during morning hours where you will find people after there morning walk come to relish this nice breakfast. Kochuri with sabji ,jilepi and chai a perfect combination. My favourite here is special chai,kochuri sabji and gulab jamun

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Few days back we visited Maharaj,one of the Kolkata's iconic breakfast destinations.
We really amazed by the authenticity of their kachuri that they have maintained till the date. We took their famous hing kachori, gulab jamun, jalebi/jilipi and tea. They also opened a new snacks corner just beside their old shop.
