Visited a day before. Drove from Dehradun via Mussoorie. Started at 6 am - reached around 3:30 pm (inclusive 4 chai pani breaks). Traffic- nil Road- 4/5 Scenic view- 5/5 (for reels and all) Imp points- aarti starts at 4 pm in the evening for around 45 minutes. And then again at 9:45 pm. Temple is divided in 3 sections call it a, b & c. Section b & c are for devotees. Only PanditG is allowed in section a. Section b - girls are not allowed during or after the evening aarti. Section c - remains available for everyone though out the day. No socks please. No photography inside any section. No such restriction around the temple. Amenities- Temple parking entrance is on the right and well connected with the main road. Huge parking space next to the temple- free. Sarai- for free stay. Blankets- chargeable. Dinner/ prasad for devotees after 7:30 pm as per locals. only 3 hotels (miniature) (1 by GMVN) as per locals. All were full :(. Only 1 tea stall. Prasad stalls available around the temple. Most important thing- No Airtel. only Jio & BSNL as per locals. Only 1 ATM that too is available during certain hours of the day. No UPI. Cash is must. In case, you plan to drive home same day as we did- road is well lit with cat eyes except a few patches here and there. Were stopped at Mussoorie-Herbertpur junction- only check post. We chose the road to Herbertpur- less twist and turns. Started at 6 pm and reached Herbertpur at around 1 am.

We visited Mori last weekend. Such a wonderful and scenic place this is. Located on the bank of Tons river. Quite peaceful and amazing place is Mori a small village situated in Uttarakhand hills. Area is covered with pine trees which gives a serene look to the entire region. We pitched our tent 1.5 KM away from Mori village on the Tiuni road. We visited Mahasu temple in Hanol on the way backfrom Mori to Tiuni. Hanol is a worth experience specially for the Mahasu Temple.

Great place for scenic beauty! Not many amenities at the temple site. But Tiuni and Mori are nearby regions where you can find good amenities!

om namah siway:.Mighty God doesn't need any explanation. I'll just tell you the way which you should go to the temple of mahasu the Lord of justice. If you want to go there from Dehradun simply go via mussoorie, nainbag, mori route. There are also two more ways but don't chhose any of them because both are boring but if you choose via Mussoorie You will get new things and panoramic scenes after every few kilometres. In temple you'll get a lot of parking, water, washrooms , food(including icecream) and most valuable thing i.e. blessings of Lord mahasu.

Its an ancient temple built in 9th century on the banks of tons river. The Sarai near temple has good spacious halls (no rooms) to accommodate large group of devotees coming here. Separate halls are provided to ladies n gents. Common bathrooms n toilets are clean. Reaching here by road is absolutely convenient. Good roads from Chakrata or Herbertpur or Rohru. The only petrol pump near temple is 20kms on Tiuni - Shimla road.

Since the ages, this sacred temple dedicated to Lord Mahasu of Jaunsar Bawar instills pride and faith in the hearts of fun loving and joyful people of Jaunsar-Bawar region. As a Jaunsari myself, felt real proud and connected to the supreme power while having the darshan of Mahasu Devta. The temple is situated in a village named Hanol, which is around a little more than a 100 kilometers from Chakrata. The location is cool, calm, serene and is surrounded by tall mountains on the side of Tons river. The scene itself is mesmerizing and to top it, we had the darshan at around 6 am in the cold misty morning of the April month. We tried to pick up the heavy dense balls of stone and were able to pick and hold it up for few seconds. Those stones are very heavy and dense, are sacred and revered here in this temple. After the darshan, we had tea and home made parathas in a nearby shop. Those were just delicious and the tea was refreshing.
