Gandhi Hill, the first of its kind in the country is one such tourist spot, attracting huge crowds every day.
Gandhi Hill, the first Gandhi memorial in India on a hillock, is a major tourist spot in Vijayawada. Situated at a height of 500 ft, this Gandhi memorial with seven stupas was constructed to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation. The 52 ft tall Gandhi stupa is the major attraction here, unveiled by Dr. Zakir Hussain, the then President of India, on 6th October 1968. Gandhi Memorial Library, with good collection of books; a Sound and Light show, depicting the life of Mahatma Gandhi; and a planetarium are other attractions here. A toy train ride around the hill is a favorite among the kids. In addition, the inscriptions of Gandhi’s teachings on stone slabs are truly inspiring. The panoramic view of the Vijayawada city as seen from the Gandhi Hill is an added attraction here.

U can c all mountain, river, railway station, play ground, Durga temple, prakasam bridge.
Telescope view also available c surrounding area's from here it self.
Small playing area for children's, u can cum by walk its very very help for ur health.

you can walk through the stairs or use the road.
there is a food court with amenities for refreshment for all age groups.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent. Awesome view. We saw Durga Mandir, Prakasham Barrage, Vijaywada railway sation and another temple over a hill. Enjoyed the view during sunset. Lighting effect just after the sunset was mondblowing. The journey in troy train around Gandhi hill took us back to our child hood memories.
