An immersive experience, taking you through the life journey of Mahatma Gandhi. The technology employed is amazing! A lot of work done by interactive graphics, 3D holograms, moulded sets make you feel as if you are passing through that era. A must visit if you are visiting Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar

Mahatma Mandir is a convention centre and a memorial located at sector 13, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. It is inspired from life and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Mandir Museum, also called DandiKutir, was opened to public recently by Prime Minister NarendraModi. The project was completed in a record time of seven months in Gandhi Nagar. The momentous project is conceptualised by the Government of Gujarat and delivered with great speed and quality and sensitivity by ShapoorjiPallonji Engineering & Construction (SPE&C) on design & build basis. SPE&C has given a fine concept and deep touch of art & technology. It is a unique architectural and experiential edifice providing visitors a forward-looking space to contemplate Gandhian principles and reflect on singular and collective futures. The architecture is iconic for three elements: An immersive multimedia museum housed in the Salt Mound christened β€œDandiKutir”, the conical concrete shell symbolic of the Salt Satyagraha of 1930; a cable-stayed bridge inspired by the Charkha crowned by a windmill at the top of the bridge pylon and a Gandhi Garden commemorating Gandhiji’s life through 79 iconic sculptures/artworks. Instead of using only exhibit artefacts and telling conventional hagiographies, the museum uses the modern technological innovations to cultivate new dialogues around Gandhiji. Excellent design & engineering skills and delivery-driven approach is visible in the speedy construction of the Mahatma Mandir Museum project as well. All slabs in the salt mound were casted in 20 days. Design & Engineering team researched extensively to pick unique and best fitting material for every part of the building, e.g. very special Korea make material is used in the twist. Eight multimedia rooms were readied with hardware and software synchronisation accomplished in flat 15 days’ time. All light fittings of the museum building were installed in just 10 days. On the outside, the hardscape work of 5400 sqm was completed in 20 days which included mound creation, pathways, tree plantation, etc. Famous for A memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi was constructed by ShapoorjiPallonji And Company Limited. A suspension bridge is built in memory of the Dandi March. A concrete dome structure is constructed representing salt mound houses a museum, library and research center. A sculpture garden with stone murals depicting the life of Mahatma Gandhi is also developed. A grand spinning wheel, Charkha, is installed also. Best time to Visit 10am-5pm between this time you can go for the visit and on holiday the mandir was be closed . Best time to Go you can go any time .

This place is of 4 hours to see each piece of art and listen to mahatma Gandhi's full story but they finish it in one hour. They don't let you stand and listen to the audio guide properly because next batch of people have to come. Many eating outlets in the campus. Great view and park outside. They have canteen, luggage room, khadi shop, book shop, library, souvenir shop, washroom very clean, drinking water facilities etc. Good to go in morning time and during weekdays as you will find less crowd and enjoy the place. It is open from Tuesday till Sunday and closed on Monday. largest exhibition & convention centres in India. Set your foot inside the venue and rediscover one of the nation’s biggest icons. Drawing inspiration from the philosophy and life of Mahatma Gandhi, this convention centre in Gujarat has an aesthetic sense to it that one can experience while spending time at the venue. Maintained by Leela, cleanly, the structure built by Larsen & Toubro has no columns inside the main hall. One of the best in India, proud of it! Grandiose!!
