★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I Abhijoy Mitra alumna of Maheshwari Public School who studied at MPS Vijay Path Tilak Nagar for almost 3 and half year (1989-92 ) from standard 6th to getting promotion in 9th standard.My father's work being transferable one later on we moved to our native place Kolkata from where I have completed my 12th and B.A English Honors.
All I can say today is that although some hard and fast rules in the school always made me feel uncomfortable in those days but till now I remember great teaching staffs of MPS partcularly Ma'am Uma Das ( Bio Sc and Hindi teacher),Geography teacher Umesh Sharma ,Niti Parekh Ma'am etc to whom I pay my heartiest regards and respect even after more than 25-26 years later.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Even today when I rethink about 32-34 years back I consider the MPS Jaipur I have studied for 3 years (1989-91) was worst part in my school days. Father's transferable job let into changes of various schools and colleges in my student life but the school environment at MPS by then was almost a nightmare. Students were often brutally treated i.e slapped, canning by Principle, Teachers very common one (there were few exceptionational cases but majority of the teaching stuffs were not friendly) not just for creating noises in classrooms simply because of the uniform say tie, badge or belt not properly worn or say for example shoelaces not properly tied up, long hairs and nails etc. Everyday after the Opening Prayers in the Assembly the teachers there used to scrutinize all these things and the defaulted received corporal punishments..I do wonder how come the students as well as the guardians never spoke out against these odd norms in a school.I think things may have changed much by these days and the students are not facing such hardships but better and gentle treatment by their teachers..
Hope so and wishing all those young students who are studying now in the school (building location changed from Tilak Nagar to Jawahar Nagar in 93 I have left the school in 92) a better future there with friendly and cooperative mentors.
