★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Too crowded area and selling market in mahima started from morning 7 am to 12 pm and then after 5 pm evening to 8 pm ,all their koli people's stalled there fishes in market for selling.many more varieties of fishes are here,too expensive and to impressive fishes available.,other vegetables are also in this market.grampanchayat bajar is main spot from starting the selling all the vegetables or no vegetable products.great place well maintained and old market as it is from since british rajya.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This market is the oldest in the area where you get fresh fish in the Morning as well as in the Evening between 0700 hours to 1200 hours and from 1500 hours to 2100 hours. As soon as the boats with fishermen carrying fish from Sea reach the Tembhi Port the same is collected by fisherwomen in Bamboo Baskets and carried by individual women sellers personally on their heads to the market and sold on retail basis by making shares on wooden planks. There is some sort of shouting whereby the sellers attract your attention towards their fish as they want to sell as early as possible at the competitive prices and go back to their homes to do other work including preparation for next day's Sea journey of their male members for catching the fish again. The fish available are Bombil, Mandeli, Surmai, Pomphret, Katla , Boi, Prawns, Lobsters, Shivani, Kala, Kajali , etc.depending upon their daily catch. The prices are determined by the forces of demand and supply such as assuming that there is fixed amount of supply the price will be higher on Sunday, Wednesday, Friday and lower on Thursday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday. The taste of fresh fish however cannot be compared to any other thing and hence every single fish is sold in the market at the end of the session. One must experience the taste of fresh fish in this wonderful market.Fresh Mutton and Deshi Chicken is also available in the market.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a fish market where you will get nearly every fish you want, at a very reasonable price. No matter from where you buy it from. But the reason I gave it 3 stars is the lack of hygiene and social distancing , even if the sellers are socially distant from each other but the buyers are cluttered and everything is sloppy and unhygenic basically. No gloves are used and even , no mask is used ? so you may take precautions yourself or there is a 80% chance you will get infected.
