★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mangla Prasad Sharma & Co., Kolkata is one of the finest makers of Rudra Veena or the 'Veen' as it is known in Hindustani Classical Music. The Rudra Veena is a very ancient and most revered instrument of 'Sastriya Sangeet'. The quality of craftsmanship is excellent. Many prominent Veenkars such as Ustad Asad Ali Khan and Ustad Bahuddin Dagar have bought instruments from this shop. Each instrument is hand made upon advance order. It usually takes 4-6 weeks for complete construction of the instrument. Other instruments such as Tanpura and Sitar are also available here. Repair & Jawari services are also offered here. The shop is located at a few minutes walking distance from Purabi Cinema Hall near Sealdah Railway station.
