★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pleasant experience visiting the temple which is located in Siddiah road, Wilson Garden, Bnglr. What's so special about this temple is the idol of Goddess Maiamma in horse which is 400 y old idol, as informed by priest. Goddess Mariamma ( named in south) is Goddess Durga ( Mata Rani, as renowned in north. Morning aarti takes place at 9 am and evening aarti between 6 to 6:30 pm The temple remains closed in the afternoon n reopens at 5:45 pm. Visiting goddess temple during rahu kalam on Tuesday, Friday n Sunday is auspicious. Noticed lighting lamp out of lemon.
In this temple there are two little girls who come to ring bells. Their ity athomei Goddess Mariama n so they are devoted towards her n visit daily.
There is a banyan n peepal tree opposite to the temple with serpant god's underneath.
The incandescent stick is only lit during aarti oterwise the priest prohibits n encourages to light lamp only.
At the center is Goddess Mariamma. In the left n right side of Goddess is Lord Murugan/ Kartik and Lord Ganesha temple is at the right.
The aarti first takes place for Lord Ganesha n thenOrd Kartik, then 400 y old idol, then full family n then goddess Mariamma
