★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is approximately 550;m from Airport road metro station. I ordered Prime minister matka khichdi from here and I was not much satisfied with its taste. First of all this was not daal khichdi , it was actually a khichdi which not many Mumbaikars are aware. I suppose it's the one of the very few places in Mumbai which actually serves Khichdi and not dal khichdi in the name of khichdi. It's the maximum you can go close to a khichdi at this place in Mumbai.
If you are fed-up of having dal khichdi in name of khichdi then this place is a must go. After that you may decide if u want to continue going to this place or not. But it's a must go for a one time experience. Who knows you may like the actual taste of khichdi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kullhad anda meal was the order that I made from Matka Khichdi last Wednesday. The taste eas unique, unlike other restaurant, it was probably because it was not served ordinarily.
They used a matka to serve the food. It enhances the taste. We all Indian know it very well. Thank you for the tasty food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered kulhad dal makhni combo in which they gave two parthas, two kulhad of dal makhni and one kulhad rice. The taste is awsm, parathas were exactly like home made parathas. Dal makhni was also delicious. I recommend everyone to order kulhad combo once its awsmm. And I liked the concept of serving in kulhad. The parcel was very nicely packed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A colleague of mine was looking to having something light for lunch when I came upon this restaurant. And I was pleasantly surprised seeing the variety of khichdi options these guys have and thus ordered a Dal Makhani Khichdi with Boondi Raita as an add-on.
Coming to the package, they send the khichdi in a plastic container, the boondi raita in a real Matka and a small container containing green chutney. Coming to the Khichdi first, it tasted good. The rice and dal and the entire mixture were cooked properly and as it was a dal makhani khichdi I could see a nice layer of butter on top although it had melted completely due to the heat. The quantity was sufficient for a single person who is damn hungry or even for 2 people with medium appetite.
Coming to the Boondi raita, it was nice and it had a unique flavor to it and was nowhere near the boondi raita we generally eat. But the taste complemented the khichdi perfectly and so was the green chutney that came with the package. All in all the entire package at a cost of just Rs. 156 after discount from zomato was really good and all in all the taste was also satisfying.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To try out a variety of khichdi’s, i would definitely vouch for Matka Khichdi. Located in Malad east, this outlet serves delicious khichdi in Matka (earthen pot). This desi style khichdi is super amazing. I would definitely recommend the following khichdi-
Aloo palak khichdi- For aloo and palak lovers.
Masala cheese- Cheese filled, masala khichdi, super delicious.
Matka Mexican Khichdi-
Crazy mexican flavoured khichdi, mexican-indian combo is awesome.
All their khichdi’s are super tasty. You can definitely order some good food from here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Matka Khichdi serves excellent varieties of khichdis, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian and that too at great price and no compromises on taste. The only issue faced sometimes is that all delivery portals show that it's unavailable even when they are open and they don't have their personal delivery service.
