★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This institute currently ranked 3rd in the country by India today & Times of India is spread over a campus in 122 acres. Attached to the college are 4 other institutes Nayak Hospital, GB Pant Institute Lok of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental sciences and Guru Nanak Eye Center. It is one of the best place for learning with 2800 beds, 7200 daily outpatient attendance and 4.7 operation theatres running daily. It caters to 290 undergraduate students, 245 post graduate and post doctoral students per year being trained by 426 faculty members and 810 resident doctors.
The college made a very humble beginning in 1958 with the erstwhile Irwin hospital (now the Lok Nayak Hospital) attached to it. The college is named after a great patriot and educationist, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad and stands today as an epitome of medical excellence.
The mission of the college is to provide excellent knowledge as well as rigorous training that will prepare the students to meet the professional and scientific challenges that will dominate the 21st century. The highest caliber faculty, high class education, research and patient care all serve to attract the most deserving students to this institution.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A neat well-maintained dental hospital. It offers most dental facilities at an extraordinarily affordable price. On the plus side the procedures cost 1/5th of what it would cost you in a private dental clinic
On the minus side you have to wait forever for the procedures and the Dentists give you multiple dates making it a 6-month long process. If you have more than 1 cavities or if you require RCT you might need to make multiple visits to get your teeth resolved. Only one cavity is filled at a time. If you look at the traffic this place attracts then this is quite justified. The place is swarming with people who need a dental work or procedure and we don’t have many hospitals like these that cater the need of people from all classes. I think government should scale up these facilities in order not over-strain existing facilities.
One should truly take care of their teeth, brush twice a day, ensure they brush after eating something sweet and not ignore the dental health if their teeth. That’s the best way, if you spoil the health of your teeth you will give a lot of pain.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am in love with this place and college. Especially old boys hostel. That late night parties, music has a different vibe. The hostel reminds you of a typical government hostel. One star less for the cleanliness. The bathrooms and corridor are never ever cleaned. Hostel view at night is just a ecstatic??
