β β β β β We had ordered a metal grill for our safety door.... we wanted it in white. The delivery of the product was done on time however within four months it started peeling off. On closer inspection the contractor found that the base coat was not applied before the white colour hence it had started peeling off.
Both my contractor and I spoke with him and requested him to redo the work. He asked us to remove the grill and get it to his shop. How could that be done?... Especially since the grill is embedded within the door and the mica sheet is then pasted over the frame.
We tried explaining it to him several times he just wouldnβt budge. He wanted the grill to be removed and brought to his shop.... this would cost us much much more than the grill since the mica sheet would have had to be ripped off on both sides of the door and repurchased and reapplied. Finally we requested him to pay the charges to a deco painter ( reasonable guy) whom we sourced who agreed to do the paint job on the grill inspite of being attached to the door.
The Metal Craft person offered the deco guy a few hundred rupees that wouldnβt even cover his travel. After a con call with him and my contractor and discussions and chasing for few months I gave up on him. Finally got it done without any help, support or even charges paid by him.
My contractor who had been chasing the guy simply offered to pay for it himself since he felt bad that a house door that he had done recently should look so bad within a few months.
Maybe the stuff in Metal Craft is good but somehow I would feel uneasy to deal with them in future.

β β β β β This shop is located in sec 17 vashi and very easy to locate although many of locals don't know the exact place, but if you know it you are really going to get what you are looking for...
They have every kind of aluminum channel we need for sliding windows, doors.
The work shop is not located there but once you confirm your order they will directly deliver your manufactured products at your doorsteps and with some extra charges you can get them installed too.
