★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me along with my friends had decided to go on a trip. The total distance of the trip was almost 200 kms. We had to submit the bikes back to Metrobikes at 9pm sharp near Dayanand Sagar college and they were operating from a restaurant named Desi Khana khajana.
While on the journey one of the bikes took a minor fall and a few scratches appeared on one of the helmets and the mudguard of that bike was slightly bent.
Me and Sahid were riding and we got 15 mins late for delivering the bike.
The owner started abusing on the call stating "madarchod ko rok ke rakh ata hu"
We waited not knowing what was so grave about our mistake.
He came like a typical goon with an intimidating body language.
Started abusing from the start.
Coincidentally I was the one wearing the helmet that was scratched
He demanded Rs 1000 from us
Without any hesitation we decided to pay. Even then he was cursing out aloud. Slangs as typical as "bahenchod", " Madarchod" were being hurled at us nonstop.
We didn't wanna create a scene as it was night time and time was of essence to return to college and so we left after having digested his temper and his foul language.
The next morning my friends had gone to pay the fine due for damages to the bike.
They demanded an amount of Rs 8000 for the bike to which we said if it would be okay if we repaired it on our own and return it. He agreed to this proposition.
After this the owner turned to sahid and enquired who were the ones that came yesterday night.
In clear hindi he said "kal kaun kaun aya tha rat ko gandmasti karne"
Upon hearing this sahid turned to his friends and said paisa bhi du and gaali bhi khau kya in Bengali.
Suddenly the owner got aggressive and got hold of sahid in a chokehold, another man came from behind and hurled a belt with its buckle exposed.
It hit sahid on the head and he started bleeding profusely.
We left immediately for the hospital.
Is this what we deserve?
We didn't abuse we didn't hit anyone yet the bystanders kept watching.
Since we didnt speak the language they got their way with us, the police.
Nobody was willing to even listen to us.
This injustice feels like a dagger to the chest.
It's a harsh world we live in.
