★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What makes Siddhesh an excellent teacher?
Firstly, he knows his way around music theory. He has developed his own unique style in which he extensively incorporates the CAGED system. You give him a note on the fretboard and he will draw 10 chords around it in no time. An example of his technique is his signature (otherwise)"ugly" sounding chords which, when put in context, sound like nothing you'd have ever heard. He can sweep, shred, tap - basically everything that falls under the high technical profieciency skillset. Unlike others, Siddhesh's lessons are structered based on what you want to learn and not some textbook syllabus that people generally push. He made me tabs after every lesson which I practiced over the week until the next session. And don't assume the sessions are all strict music lessons. Siddhesh will, every now and then, talk about some game he liked or introduce you to a band or a musician he admires. I found out about Trivium through him, which has been my favorite band for quite some time now. He will also be there for you during the week for any troubles you face in your practice; just send him a whatsapp video. Not to mention, Siddhesh generously took into account that I traveled from really far to attend the classes and always adjusted as per my schedule. He emphasises on knowing what is actually happening theoretically behind the songs you want to learn instead of mindlessly learning the notes. He will give you creative hacks for challenges you face. For example, he asked me to speak "Tomato" as I played triplets to keep time. He knows it for a fact that his lessons are expensive than average and therefore strives to make the whole learning experience meaningful for you. In my opinion, it's worth it! He's flexible in terms of that too and wouldn't even bring up the matter of fees. However, if he notices you are not putting in the effort, he would graciously ask you to stop taking the lessons to reconsider your goals and also to save your money.
