This branch of mio amore is worst, they said me that they don't take advance of the rich dutch chocolate cake and to call on the day when I need it. When I called them, I told them that "I'll come today at 7 pm to take the cake" and they said "okay". But when I reached there, they already sold the cake to someone else and told "u should have come at 11 am morning". That's why I don't trust this battala branch mio amore. So, beware of this cake shop, may be you will be the next one who will face the same problem that I've already faced.

I have visited Mio Amore in various places of Kolkata since my childhood. Previously it was Monginis. One of my favourite place when it comes to food. So, coming to this Mio Amore outlet, the only difference I found was the size of "Chicken Internet". Ohh my gosh.. it's so big, that I was super happy. Check out the pic (sorry for the half eaten piece :P)

During the past 25 years, we have understood the art of baking exquisite delicacies to the satisfaction of the refined, ever inquisitive palates of our discerning patrons, and hence it is not surprising therefore that we have been recognized with awards such as, β€˜Most Admired Retailer of The Year’ for Food Service. Battala branch is good. Popular bakery brand Monginis, which just vanished one fine morning of 2015 from Kolkata and its suburbs to be replaced by a new brand, is set to make a comeback on this Good Friday. A dispute between the local franchisee and the brand owners had led to the development in that year and all Monginis shops turned Mio Amore. Now, city-based Ganguram chain of confectionery have taken West Bengal's master franchisee for manufacturing and retailing Monginis bakery products in the state, Kolkata Partner Anand Chaurasia told PTI. He said, nine Monginis stores will be opened on April 19 and by May end, a total 60 brand shops will be in place in Kolkata and suburbs. The century-old brand Monginis is owned by Mumbai based Khorakiwalas and was introduced to Kolkata in 1992 by a local partner. But, owing to disputes, all of the 155 odd Monginis shops were rebranded as Mio Amore in 2015. It was then decided that Monginis cannot be launched in Kolkata at least for three years. A top Monginis official said now there was no hurdle for the brand to be relaunched and a strong partner had been roped in for the comeback. The Chaurasias' is believed to have pumped in around Rs 20 crore for the brand excluding real-estate investment. Monginis boasts to have 650 stores and 16 manufacturing facilities across the country. Chaurasia said though competition will be intense with Mio Amore being the largest competitors with a chain of 200 plus shops. However, it will not be difficult to create demand as people will recall the strong brand Monginis. "We will be very competitive in pricing with the best quality. Our average price for products would be between Rs 10 and Rs 25," Chaurasia said. He said, "We are thinking about re-introducing the catchline 'Moner Jinish Monginis'. But it is not final.

All the eateries are fresh in Mio Amore. I have tried almost all the cake items here. The best of them are Choco Crunch, Choco Chip Muffins, Belgian Chocolate, Chocolate Excess. The brownies are crisp and also have the brownie effect! Other items like Puffs, Pizza, Rolls, Burger etc are available here. And all are priced decently. The only issue here is, there is no Dine-In facility, they mainly concentrate on take away. But if they put a bunch of round tables, this place would be a great hangout place for college students and younger generation.
