The city is surrounded by several hills and is the headquarters of Mirzapur District and is famous for the holy shrine of Vindhyachal, Ashtbhuja and Kali khoh and also have Devrahwa Baba ashram. .. The East India Company named this place as Mirzapur.

There are many tourist spots here majorly dams and waterfalls. Fooding and lodging is not much expensive as compared to other cities. In conclusion mirzapur is place of natural beauties.
