The beauty of the temple during sunset is great and it becomes mesmerizing once the lights are on. Architecture and carving in the temple is something which you will find amazing.

There are 2 structures, one has a hollow well like structure where they say that the first sun rays enter this place. There is also a huge garden for the visitors to relax. A huge step well stands strong which displays how the quintessential architecture was best of its time. Must visit this place.

It's lovely place to have a full day picnic with family as we can sit, relax, and play in the lawns near the monument. Nice parking with terminals for e-charging station using solar panels. Nice restaurant Eulogia. Place is full of greenery and nearby Narmada canal.

While the temple is stunning, one sometimes feels sad looking at how time, weather, and invasions have eroded the magnificence with which it must have shone in brilliance centuries ago. The kund (water tank) in the front with its step-well design is fascinating. You could spend good time appreciating the intricate carvings everywhere. In the evening the place is lit up nicely (I went in the morning). A small museum just showcases some sculptures but lacks much information.

No worship is offered currently and its a protected monument maintained by Archaeological Survey of India. It has multiple temples with well carved architecture. Its recommended to get a guide to make the most of your visit. There is also a museum in the same premise which can be visited free of cost.

It's a UNESCO world heritage site, so it's pretty well maintained but can get crowded on weekends and holidays. Try to visit in the early morning and late evening (it's open till 9 PM with amazing lighting). It is recommended to get a guide because there are a lot of stories and unique things hidden throughout the complex.
