I travelled by bike from Bangalore to Gandikota. The route I took up is Bangalore -> Gorantla -> Kadiri -> Gandikota.
Full of greenness and no much barren land seen.
We took up a package costing Rs.1500 and it included Breakfast, Dinner, Tent, Bonfire.
Coming to the details of the site -
Pros -
1. Spectacular view of the Grand Canyon when viewed from inside the fort.
2. Dinner at the Camping site was superb. It was kinda home made food.
3. Haritha resorts with Babji as service provider had provided Tent and sleeping bags for a night. I did not see other service providers giving these. They had also arranged a tent and Bonfire on our own selected place.
4. I seriously don't have any words about the sunrise view from the Camping site.
5. Washrooms are cleanly maintained.
Cons -
1. There were liquor bottles and glass spread around the camping site. This must have been cleaned regularly.
2. Lunch was costly. Rs.105 per plate.
3. Haritha resorts only accepts Cash. So kindly bring the Cash from your source. If you doesn't have cash , then you need to travel 12kms from Gandikota. Credit/Debit cards are useless here. Same applies to Petrol and Diesel.
4. I did not like the water placed at Haritha resort as it was borewell water. It's better to buy Kinley water bottles there itself.
5. Do not go to the view point from 12 to 4pm. You will burn yourself due to rays from Sun.
6. Jio has the strongest network. Vodafone is useless at Gandikota.
