The area is a Government colony to house Eastern Railway staff.
Apart from one road in which the highest ranking officers live, which in itself are sparse, the place is full of cheap people and gawkers who stare like animals.
The place lacks drainage, hence during monsoons, is full of dirty water with garbage.
Amenities are pretty nearby with a lot of schools, two malls and medical facilities around.
The area itself minus the chengras is peaceful and serene and is sharply contrasted by the area outside it. It has a lot of trees and greenery and a lot of birds around.
