Still nice place to visit atleast once.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This beautiful palace built on the shoreline of ancient kelo river is now in pathetic state without any maintenance and few families are using it as a residence. Except the colourful entrance side pillared corridor along with inner courtyard everything's is locked and closed for public.The river is almost a drainage now and the mahal is getting rotten due to lack of funds and interest from anybody...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Moti Mahal is one of the oldest & famous historical palace of Raigarh city. It is situated on the bank of Kelo river. Its location is at Madhuban para , Raigarh. It is also known as The pride of Raigarh.
This palace used to be a royal place in medieval times. It was built by royal kings and deewans of Gond dynasty in 1904. This beautiful palace was built by famous sculpture and artisian Shyam Gangji Sawariya & Jayram Walji. Later this palace was renovated by Raja Chankradhar.
King Chankradhar also bulit a palace for his wife known as " Rani mahal ", which is situated a few distance from Raja mahal.
There is a large iron metal bell on top of the Moti Mahal, enhancing the Gond civilization. There is a pond near the palace which is known as Bagh Talab and this garden pond was built for the personal use of Rani Mangal Moti Dev. The pond which is still present, shows archeological expertise of Raigarh.
Also it is said that there was a secret tunnel inside the Moti Mahal which went from Moti Mahal to Sarangarh and this secret tunnel became extinct with time. The royal court was built in front of this palace which is present day. Police post was established under the supervision of Municipal Corporation of Raigarh.
Presently , the palace is in very worse condition. It needs to be maintained by the government of CG , as it is the historical heritage of our Chhattisgarh state !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Historical with glance of rich architecture of Chakradhar Moti Mahal buit in 1905. Worth a visit to this beautiful palace. The main sculptural and architect were Shyam ji Sawaria and Jairam ji Vaalji including many all other important structures of Raigarh. These unseen hero's are worth mentioning here. The palace is all worth to explore and see it's remaining beauty.
